If you missed out on the 22nd Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in November, now you can catch up on the most important, award-winning films of last year. On the first occasion of the screening series you can watch the Oscar-nominee film Cutting Through Rocks.

As the first elected councilwoman of her Iranian village, Sara Shahverdi aims to break long-held patriarchal traditions by training teenage girls to ride motorcycles and stopping child marriages. When accusations arise questioning Sara's intentions to empower the girls, her identity is put in turmoil.
Cutting Through Rocks won the Best Human Rights Documentary award at 22nd Verzió Film Festival.
