About the film:
2000 Meters to Andriivka is the new documentary film by Mstyslav Chernov, the Pulitzer- and Oscar-winning Ukrainian director. Shot on the front line, this powerful work follows a small military unit’s two-kilometer advance as they fight to liberate a village in ruins. Chernov — director of 20 Days in Mariupol — depicts the physical and moral reality of modern warfare with relentless precision. The film is a powerful tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Ukrainian soldiers, and a reminder of the ongoing struggle for freedom and sovereignty. The two-kilometer advance through devastated forests and mined areas becomes a symbol of resilience.
