Verzió x METU Poster Exhibition
Movie posters play an important role in cinema—not only as a means of advertisement but also as a bridge between the audience and the cinematic experience. The poster’s commitment to the singular image provides a lens through which to view a film, and it can even reshape its entire meaning for a particular viewer.
The posters exhibition is a collaboration between MA Graphic Design students at the Metropolitan University (METU), the Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, and Blinken OSA Archivum. The show is a beloved tradition and part of the festival’s UniVerzió program—this year marking its eighth installment.
The students selected freely from this year’s festival program and, under the mentorship of Krzysztof Ducki, Krisztián Gál, and Andrej Toth, created a diverse exhibition that reflects the varied program and lively atmosphere of the festival.
